Bowling babies

Bowling with our babies.
We met dad&linda down town. We decided it would be fun to try something different. Oh dear. Bowling was an adventure with a two&three year old!

We had a blast. Beckham mostly just wanted to overhand throw the bowling bowls so we had to curb that. Audrey on the other hand was a super star. It was actually so precious.

I totally was sweating from the mayhem but I honestly enjoyed every second. We all slept like babies after that!

Halloween part 2

Two hours of tricker treating and it's safe to say they had a blast and where running of pure adrenaline. We went with some friends and had a great time. The Collins family is always a hoot. Sadly containing the excitement as they RAN door to door was intense so not many pictures. We did make a couple pit stops before tricker treating to show the cuteness off. One of those places being grandma. She was smart enough to take some pictures so now I can reap the rewards.

Ps-
Did I mention that our evening also involved Brent and I and our babies falling down a flight of outdoor stairs and also breaking into a preschool to steal our Minnie ears back. By breaking in I mean the full on climbing threw a window...ha ha ha.

Beckham

-Ok, a week ago beckham had a raspy cough.
-Then on Wednesday he spiked a fever of 104.5-105, we landed up in emerge at 2am on the night of Halloween.
-We then spent Thursday still in emerge without any sleep. It was interesting.
-today, Saturday. Beckham developed a full body rash...

Roseola, we found out they are all linked symptoms but no one knows the cause usually until the rash comes out.

So beckham has been extra needy and cuddly and I'm a big suck. Brent says I coddle him. He's just my baby. If he wants to cuddle I will smother him in cuddles until he doesn't want them hahaha

Anyways we are quarantining ourselves since our social life usually involves copious amounts of lil ones under 3 and it's extremely contagious in that age group. Cheers to a week filled with cooped up kids, movies, popcorn, and some extreme fort making. Hoping and praying we didn't get to many of our friends sick.

Popcorn

If Brent and I eat popcorn at night and don't finish if...I know I'll get to sleep in. How is this you ask.

You see I leave it on the counter in the bowl. Sometimes when I think I'm being a smart parent I'm really being a bad parent...but at least I'm a bad parent who gets to sleep in!

I leave the bowl of leftover popcorn on the counter. My daughter comes from a long line of Eves that love food. The apple I'm sure has similar appeal that popcorn does. I lead that beautiful daughter of mine straight into a bowl of temptation. She will sit at the counter and slowly eat the leftovers for a great amount of time.

The thing about the popcorn is that it's also like a babysitter. If I was to let Audrey run wild while I slept in the morning with no popcorn I'd awaken to beckham having been shaved, laundry soap spilled all over, her nails and our cabinets painted and perhaps our turtles would get to experience eating another board book. The popcorn might be a sort of temptation but it eliminates all the other naughty things that she could be doing.

Therefore leaving mommy to rest in peace. Until the munching stops...silence wakes me and I leap to my defence!

I made popcorn tonight. Mamas sleeping in.

Halloween 2013

So I LOVE Halloween. Brent on the other hand enjoys it but the costume pressure stresses him out. This year I didn't pressure him instead I just planned mine and the kids months ago (that's how we roll). Brent landed up picking up his costume on the day of our party. He shocked me how 'all out' he went. Oh man we had some giggles.

Audrey and Beckham were Mickey and Minnie and just absolutely precious. They were so so so cute!

Brent was ERNIE and I was Wanda (as in where's Waldo's girlfriend.) I made some jokes about how I broke up with Waldo so that I could get with Ernie. A little in appropriate but was historical.

On actual Halloween we are getting together with some friends and all taking the kids to go to an event called 'trunk or treat' and do some trick or treating after. We are pumped. I don't care about the stereotyping that most Christians put on Halloween I love it and it's a holiday we really enjoy celebrating as a family. Such a blast.

I already have some ideas for next year...
Maybe Brent will be Waldo and him and Wanda will reunite...and perhaps the kiddos will be Dora and Diego. So silly!

Preschool mornings

I'm not a morning person. When I worked I used to roll out of bed 10 mins before I left. Just enough time to....
-brush teeth
-change
-deodorant
-hair in pony tail
-grab a banana.

Audrey now has to be at preschool at 8:30. We leave at 8:15. We have never been late. It's 7:48 and I'm laying in bed blogging about procrastination and how I rush in the morning. It's true. I'm horrid.

20 mins is double the time I had before (good thing my kids eat quick)
-change
-teeth
-pack lunches
-do Audrey's hair
-all of the above list for me
-whip beckham out if bed
-walk to school

I might procrastinate but man oh man I'm efficient when it's time to get cracking.
Now is 7:50am
CHOW....I better roll

Trust is earned...

Audrey's new phrase.
'I need privacy...it's my privacy time'
As much as I want to trust her and respect her desire for privacy...when I 'check' on her and she's giggling like a yahoo...I start to think 3 is to young for privacy lol. This lil monkey is up to no good during her 'privacy time'  lol
