Potty Training Day 2

Beckham woke up and immediately we stripped him down and onto the potty we went. Still no accidents. He's a pro.

The one hard thing is he somehow got a major diaper wedgie last night. I'm talking chaffing and ouchy ouchy. So he's been pretty sensitive and slightly irritable because of it. What a miserable time for that to happen...we are persevering and still potty training though. 

He's primarily been using the 'lil potty' ha ha so different from Audrey who wasn't into the little one. I put him on the big potty and major difference...no shield! What a mess!!!

We are on day two and it's been pretty smooth. There will be accidents to come and I'm sure once we take away night diapers especially and also no poops yet! Stinker holds it for bedtime!

Snow Day!

Audrey woke us up this morning screaming like she was dieing. 

'Mommmmmmmmmmy...it's snowing!!!!!'

She proceeded to wake beckham up...and told him all about the snow. 

She could barely eat her breakfast she was so excited (so grateful for advent calendars to bribe her with finishing her breakfast!)

We made snowmen, snowballs, and had lots of fun in the snow!!!

Potty training

Hi Snow! So the snow made all our plans get canceled so we said...'hello potty training'

We started with giving beckham a gift! In it...undies, wipes, juice, pop, treats & a potty. He thought it was a big fat joke. 

I explained to him as he came down the stairs from his nap.

'Beckham today is your potty day! You're a big boy! We get to say bye bye to the diapers' 

I got him to take off his diaper from his nap and go put it in the garbage and say bye bye. Let's be honest. It's snowing. It's kinda chilly. I'm sure nudity and chilly weather would make anyone cranky. Let's just say the first 20 mins he was cranky about nothing warm being on his 'chilly parts'. A shirt and socks and sweater was all that sweet boy has worn since naptime. 

So. He's. A. Allstar.

3.5 hours later... ZERO accidents and 10+ pees on the potty. He has told me every time. He's a rock star. This is the easiest 

Brent even made a deal with me. If I potty train him then I can have a 'free weekend' and so whatever I want....alllllll weekend. Best deal ever apparently.

I'm sure he will have lots of accidents. They will come with distractions, cloths, and being far away from a potty. I'm just SO proud the concept of the potty came so so so easy. So proud of my little man! 

Sneak peak at Christmas

We had a Lego table for our babies made for Christmas! It is something Brent and I are SO excited about! He has so many memories playing Lego for years and years. I'm SO excited to start collecting Lego for our babies!!!

Christmas Production

Ok, since I became a mommy I have become so soft. The anticipation of the Christmas production is enough to make my soft and cry. I get so overwhelmed with pride and excitement. They don't even have to remember the words or do the actions and I am so proud. If reminds me of something that I want my babies to always know. I am so proud of them. No matter what. They don't have to do anything to make me proud other then just try there best. I am so proud it just spills over and over.

They had three songs to sing which is a lot in my opinion for ages 2&3. They did absolutely incredible. Beckham swayed and was so so so sweet. Audrey was a wild cat: jumping off the stage, grabbing the microphone, pulling up her shirt. Beckham a few times just waved and waved at me and exclaimed excitedly 'mommy' it shattered my heart into a thousand pieces. I was so proud.

After it was all said and done they came and sat with us for the rest of the performance. Our Rockstar Audrey was mad and heartbroken that she was finished. She would have done a solo if they had let her. Beckham was so excited to just be allowed to be in the 'service' they are only ever in Sunday school. It was an exciting day for everyone in the Converse family! Even grandma and grandpa and uncle Bry came to watch!!!

Christmas Castle

The Christmas castle is something we do with the Streubels every single year. It's corny but wonderful! Such a great display! 

They have a Christmas castle display in the front of this families house in Langley. During designated times the 'old man' that lives there dresses like Santa and comes out for the kids. It is SO endearing! Sadly we missed Santa this year but we really enjoyed all the lights, music and our great friends the Streubels

Williams Park

This is one of our favourite family traditions we like to do with our lil ones. Sometimes we are selfish and like to have some traditions just as a family! This is one of them!

We did it all and had a hoot and a half. The babies loved every second. They ran up to every 'Santa' and every 'Rudolph' 

This year was extra special. They really both were ages that they could reall get into it all.
