Beckhams first theatre experience

We took the kids to see Rio2 today in theatre. It was a hoot. Both kids rocked it! Beckham had to pee twice but besides that sat through the whole thing. He giggled at the silly part. He also insisted we hold hands the whole time. I obliged of course.

So I saw something similar on Pinterest. I thought how do I make something similar without spending a fortune? You see all the ones I saw were in a special kind of glass. I didn't want to go out and but all new glasses just for something I wanted to use for my daughters birthday party. Also what toddler needs that much jello.

I used 'shish kabob sticks' & paper and of course satsuma or mandarin oranges. I think it turned out perfect!

(I used my meat thermometer to make the holes in the oranges to make less mess) 

Brent's 30th Part 2-a thank you

To all who contributed to the book I owe you a huge thank you. You're all the best and I owe the success of this book to you. We just have the best friends and family! 

For those that don't know. I made a photobook for Brent that had notes from all his closest friends, family, friends from the past and mentors. 

He was absolutely blown away by everyone's kind kind kind words. Operation show my hubby what an incredible man he is to not only me and my babies but how he blesses everyone he knows was a success!

Brent's 30th Part 1

So Brent's turning 30 this week. (June 11). I decided to throw him a surprise party! Just his best buds and their wives. Since we have friends from all places in life they don't all necessarily know each other. I thought bowling would make the fact that no one knew each other less akward. So I paid for everyone's bowling, pizza and pop! We had twenty people so it was a perfect number for mingling and competing spirit.

Everyone showed up at 6:30pm.

Brent showed up at 6:45pm. 

Brent was totally clueless when I left home around 3:30pm so I thought that I actually achieved success this time. I had fibbed to him and told him we were going on a double date with Matt and Marsha and that Marsha wanted to go shopping with me beforehand so he would drive out and meet us with Matt. You have to understand I'm a sweaty jittery darty eyed liar. -I.cant.believe.I.succeeded! It helped that I wasn't with him on the drive there. I really havnt been able to keep a surprise properly....ever!

So...Brent landed up picking Matt up instead of Matt picking up Brent. Well Matt had a friend at his house helping him Reno. As they left the guy shouted- 'enjoy the party tonight guys'. Brent just stayed quiet. At that point he knew or at least supremely suspected. 

When he walked in-he was slightly flushed. It was clear the cat was out of the bag. He was taken aback seeing all his best buds! It was a great reunion as Brent's been working so much he hasn't seen many of them often this past year. 

We bowled. I mostly tried to just make sure I bowled better then Brent. I succeeded. I offered the ultimate winner a free dessert. Matt one of his best buds was the champ! 

After the bowling we went to cactus club for dessert. It was a hoot. Everyone had mingled enough by then to totally just relax and enjoy. It was smooth and wonderful. Fun was had by all!!!

These moments

These sleepy cuddles make every hard mama moment worth it. It rejuvenates my soul seeing that droopy mouthed baby on my shoulder. My days of sleepy cuddles are numbered. Beckham has blessed me being the best second and final child I could have imagined. He has given me more cuddles, smooches and taken his time with everything. He will always be my sweet baby. 

Whisked Away

Brent doesn't do it often but when he does he does so so so good.

I had a ROUGH mommy week a couple weeks ago. I don't seem to have them often but when I do. Wowzers. 

He wisked me swag for a night at Tulalip. Compliments of grandma and grandpa babysitting!

And some good long walks.

It's amazing what 24 hours does for the soul!

It was also our 9 year dating anniversary.

Don't worry Brent had no idea. We don't celebrate it. I'm just a nut and remember those types of things!

Playland With the Kids

We took the kids to Playland a couple weeks ago with 'nana and papa' oh man it was a hoot! Max & Teri also joined us. We knew our thrill seeker Audrey would love it BUT were concerned about our tall 2 year old. 

Well I am SO glad we were wrong!!!!

Beckham was JUST tall enough for a lot of things and enjoyed everything!!!! Audrey was totally in her element! They were in bliss! A total repeat for sure! 

Mommy and daddy also ditched the babes with Nana and Papa so that we could go on THREE big 'kid' rides solo!

Beckham practically dragged us ride to ride squeeling with excitement! He even went on some that I couldn't believe he didn't get SO scared in!
