Teething Bling

Teething Bling is an incredible company that has necklaces and bracelets in many shapes and colors that are safe for babies to 'teeth' or 'chew' on. I have bought a ton of them on Babysteals and never regretted it! They are an awesome company and I think they are a great investment for any mom with little ones or even moms to be!!!

I emailed them regarding a new type of necklace they are bringing out and it looks like they might give me the honor of being a tester! Ah! So exciting! Such a great company!

I'll keep you all posted!!! I'm pumped! Can you say highlight of the Christmas season?! I think so! Oh wait, Audrey's first Christmas...celebrating with her was pretty exciting as well! But teething Bling...so exciting...Audrey is also excited...speechless really!

Oh, Daddy

'Brent what is Audrey playing with?'

'A cheque.'

'you're letting her play with a check?'

'yup.'

'why?'

'Because it was here and she wanted it.'

'ok.'

She's already got daddy wrapped around her itty bitty finger.

So bad

Audrey is mad because Brent won't let her suck on his nipples...ha ha ha...honestly I was during laughing. Poor Audrey, hopefully she doesn't read this when she is older.

Big Girl Project Part 1

I have a vision.
It's beautiful.
Only problem is the limited budget and limited space!

I'll improvise and prove dreams can come true in small rooms with a small budget! I'll show you step by step. Hopefully it's not a flop!

10x11 room
Pretty limited space...

Here's what I found.

A captains bed!
A twin bed with drawers below!
I got it for $10 on craigslist! A steal!

I've just finished sanding it and repainting! All I have left is drawer liners and painting the handles! Brent has to piece it together!

I also bought an ikea bookshelf/toy organizer/dresser! It was $50 on craigslist.

I bought a new mattress and duvet $40 oh it's a steal!

That puts me at $100! (Oh wait remember that play kitchen I bought that hubby made me sell...well I sold it for $25 more then I paid...so really I'm at $75!)

-The bed and drawers in pieces all freshly painted.

-the bookshelf pre-painted. (I want to go with all white so I can have girl accents!)

-the bookshelf mid paint...

Give me a month and you'll see this big girls room come together and be transformed into pure little girl bliss. I'm thinking after everything it'll be around $150 (I'm hoping less though!)

Bottle dilemma!

Don't help her. Don't you know she's a big girl? Ha ha. She wants to give herself bottles. Doesn't want help...she'll punish you if you try and help her...trust me.

She gets so frustrated when she can't do the bottle properly but refuses help...that personality...not similar to anyone in my family ha ha (jokes) she's got so much of me in her ha ha.

Decorations

We splurged-it was fun! This is our brand spanking new Christmas decor...just in time to get stored for next year! I'm still looking for a beautiful and timeless nativity set!

Scraps or no scraps?

Prada is loving Audrey eating (aka. Throwing food on ground) our dog that never got human food is suddenly getting bountiful amounts many times a day. I'm chill...Prada sort of deserves it...she puts up with SO much! Ear tugs, eye pokes, fur pinches and riding...oh yes. It's about time she reaps some rewards of having a baby around right? Don't tell the man of the house this he's not quite as lenient as I am. Ha ha.

Half birthday 2011

Oh ya. Brent said yes! June 24/25 is our new family tradition. No tree(I asked). We can have a nativity set, angel decorations. Only purely real meaning of Christmas decor and events. I'm so excited. Best idea yet.

So excited!

Merry Christmas

My hubby and I don't do gifts.
When I got home I found this under the tree.

...

Beauty. Simple elegance. He stole my heart. He's a keeper. He's my hero when there's a storm, he's my sanity in times were life is topsy turvey, he honors me, he is wise, he cures me of sadness with a kiss, he's my friend and partner in life.

Thank you Jesus for giving me my husband. You knew what I needed before I knew. You made him just for me. I don't need anything else as long as I have my man to curl up next to.

Christmas can be crazy, busy, filled with family drama(I mean...our families are perfect...ha ha), tiring and chaotic. I'm just glad I have my man to come along on this ride every year with me. I'd have lost my head years ago without him.

I love that when we get home after mayhem. We can relish in the true meaning of Christmas. Our savior was born. Oh Lord, you are so great and amazing. You bring peace, joy, love and hope into our lives. Tonight I'm praying that as I fall asleep I can feel that peace only you can bring.

Is it bad if I sometimes feel like taking a day after Christmas and celebrating. Not really celebrating but having a peaceful time to praise God for the gift he gave us. A quiet time. Sometimes I feel like Christmas gets so busy it's hard to find time to just ponder the real meaning and give praise and thanks were it's meant to go.

I'm going to ask Brent if we can do a 'half birthday' for Jesus. Maybe that can be our family tradition. Wow so cool! Maybe we can set up the tree...June 25...happy half birthday Jesus. I'm pretty sure Brent won't go for the tree in June but maybe he'll go for a peaceful time to celebrate Jesus. Best idea ever.

Love you Jesus, happy birthday. You're the best friend, best father, and best role model I could ever have.

Unhappy return.

Unhappy return.
Something returned.
I was blessed while it was gone.
Brent was blessed.
Something I'm not excited about.
It was bound to happen.
Bah.
Boo.
Sigh.
Oh well.
I'll deal with it.

Real vacation; our first with a baby

Vegas
6 days
Baby
Mommy
Daddy
Pool
Shopping
Great food
Games
Relaxing?

Good time? Mommy says yes, daddy says no. Apparently we aren't vacationing again until we can manipulate someone into taking munchkin or our darling is school aged. Honest both us girls behaved. I guess on our best behavior still isn't relaxing. Prob didn't help that the couple we invited with a baby (4 month old) had a family begging to babysit so they left him. I think Brent had envy. Its midnight I'm letting all the secrets out ha ha. I asked Brent if that included me taking Audrey with girlfriends on vacations without him. Cheeky mommy I am...how will I get my winter tan on. Will I turn my winter vacations into regular spray tans (barf). Hmmm.
