Fake potty banishment

So on about day 3 of potty training Audrey was getting pretty independent when it came to using the portable potty especially. We kept the portable potty in our living room for 'just in case' she can't make it to the big potty. Well....this is how it would go.

Audrey sits on potty
Audrey pees on potty
Audrey yells 'yay pee..yay wipe..yay treat(back when she was getting treats)

Well on day three she did something different and that is why the potty got banished.

Audrey sits on potty...
Audrey pees on potty
Audrey yells 'yay pee, yay wipe, yay treat'
I was nursing so I wasn't fast enough...
She picked up the removable 'bowl' in the potty (we normally do this and bj g it to the big potty so I wasn't overalls concerned)
She the yelled 'yay pee' and showed me

I said 'yay'
THEN she DRANK her pee...I was ripping Beckham off so fast and trying to stop it so fast but I was just a slow motion disaster...it was to late...

The fake potty got banished!
Bye bye fake potty...may my child never drink pee ever again!

First accident..'accident'

Audrey came to me and said 'poo' and so I said let's go to the potty...she took my hand and laughed and took me to her room were she pointed and laughed at were she took her panties off(her panties are on the floor...and box is covered in pee) and peed in her toy box....yup...there are no words. I marched her and her toy box to the bathroom and we had a nice long chat that included. 'you pee on potty' and 'don't pee in this box again...or else spank' haha. She said 'dorry mommhee' (thats what her 'sorry sounds like'and gave me hug. She is now having a nap. I am laying in bed laughing in a bad way. I can't believe she peed in her you box and thought it was so funny that she wanted to show me... Oh dear. 10 days of no accidents and this is her first....at least it wasn't poop in the toy box.

The picture is of her marching the you box to the bathroom were the pee belongs...

How to make Audrey smile

At 20 months if she is having a bonkers, awful day full of tantrums and miserable. The one thing that makes that frown go away is a wet rag and giving her permission to 'clean' haha love it. I hope she alway cleans when she's angry...might make teenage hood very clean haha.

The Dream:a king

Some things change.
'having a king size bed sounds like a bad marriage.' (something I told Brent when we were first married and buying a bedroom set).

Now...(Brent most nights gets hungry in the middle of the night and needs an extra meal...no joke!) he often falls asleep after eating on the couch. I stretch out and pray that I get the whooole bed all night. When I hear him coming back to bed it actually makes me sad.

My new phrase. A good marriage is falling asleep together and then you going and eating and staying on the couch. Sounds like we need a King size bed!

Brent is 6'4 and in 5'9 so I don't know what we were thinking...queen isn't cutting it 6 years later! Wow almost six years! What a keeper I have!

Boys will be boys

You know you have a son when...
You hear a roar from down the hall with the door closed and know that it is your son in his exersaucer exploding his diaper, TMI? Love this little man, he sure is a boy!!

Potty training day 5

Pretty sure this is my last potty training post. It's a done deal. She's on day 5 and no accidents. We successfully switched to stickers and she likes that. Although she did want to flush a sticker this morning. 'buh bye 'ticker'. Oh the things she says, it warms my heart.

We skipped training pants and went straight for pretty princess panties! So cute. She'll kill me when she's older but she's totally rocking beauty and the beast today. (Brent went to Walmart and bought her the panties. I would have loved to but the snow was unreal!)

We also did our first car ride yesterday night to a friends house...no diaper...no accidents! So proud!

We did dinner with friends and she went to the bathroom a couple times in their bathroom and it was a success! We didn't even give her stickers!!

Sometimes it makes me sad that my big girl is growing up much much to fast!!

On another note. I'm pretty sure Beckham is teething. That also makes me sad. Oh I'm pathetic. Since Beckham will probably be our last (sob!) every milestone comes with a tear since it'll be 'my first 'last' teething baby' or 'my first 'last' rolling baby' I know I know. I am way to soft. Oh Beckham, you may get smothered in everything you do since it'll be the last time I get to experience 'firsts' with my child!

Potty training-day 4

No accidents still. We have a 'treat' junkie on our hands. Going to try and transition into stickers so she her main food group isn't sugar and artificial flavor. Pretty sure tantrums will come pretty quick after she realizes she doesn't get a treat every time she squeezes 1-2 drops of pee out haha. Instead a treat every 5 pees. Trust me that's a huge jump. I swear her body produces two drops every 5 seconds. My arms are getting a good workout from lifting her on and off on and off every five seconds. Brent also has been sent to go get childproofing for the bathroom AND a stool. Hopefully soon this potty stuff will be more independent haha.

Potty training day 3

I forced Brent to stay home from work (he would have preferred to work in the snow ha ha). We still have had no accidents. We are working on trusting her more. She is working on pushing pee out as many times as possible so she can get as many treats as possible haha.

I'm worried about what it'll be like to be at home alone with my potty training 19 month old and my needy little 3 month old. Sounds scary haba. I miss Grandma! Hurry home from hawaii Grandma! (just what she was wants after vacation...playmates with me so she can help me manhandle my mayhem haha). It's really not so bad. We just need to get a stool so that we don't have to put Audrey up and down every time.

Things I never thought I'd say

- don't put that in your bum
- get that out of your vagina
- don't touch Beckham (after touching your bum ha ha)
- 'yay pee'
-'yay poo'
- okay you can have a treat but next time you better pee more then two drops
- that wasn't poop that was a fart.
- you don't get a treat for a fart, sorry.

Potty training

We hadn't intended on potty training till this summer because then Beckham would be older and it just seemed like it would be easier with Audrey being over two. Well about a month before Beckham was born Audrey was 15 months and started expressing lots of interest in the potty. She would always tell us when she pooped and would often tell us before she would go. I was so pregnant and so sick thinking f potty training wasn't even an option.

Fast forward 4 months (Audrey is 19 months). For the last 1.5 months she cries before she poops and says poop poop potty. She HATES going in her diaper and often begs to go on the potty. Potty training still wasn't an option because I was so busy with a newborn.

Beckham is 3 months and now everytime Audrey poops and pees as tells us and cries while she does it because she wants to do it on the potty not in her diaper.

This weekend is it. We have spent all morning naked in the bathroom and she has had no accidents yet! Crossing our fingers. Slowly we will give her more 'freedom' but not until she goes longer without peeing!! Got to make it to the potty in time!

Brent is taking Monday off so we ate hoping to have a good start this weekend and that we will say bye bye to diapers soon!

This is Audrey playing while in the bathroom naked. Mommy is going to be on Facebook lots because man oh man there is only so much you can do while in the bathroom with your toddler all day.

Did I mention Brent's parents are gone so he is taking Beckham to his parents house and putting him on a schedule today. Yay for weekends not being for fun but instead for implementing change in your kid lives. Go hubby go!

Heart attack!

When you see your husband is reading this in the bathroom....your heart starts racing and maybe not in a good way!

Jealousy

You know sibling rivalry has started when they are competing for baby toys :)

Resolutions

1- bake at least 1/month things that Brent can eat/enjoy and I can't
2- bikini ready for summer!
3- no longer cheat on my allergies. Can only cheat on my birthday week in April. Not even cheating on eggs unless it's in something.

I didn't want to make goals that were unrealistic so these are them.

I'm starting bootcamp on Monday and am ready to get back to my normal me. I also picked up my Tupperware to put Brent's baked goodies in. Next on my list is to go through our food and get rid of all my temptations!

Cheers to a happier, healthier (not pregnant) me in 2012!!
