58

On our mini-vaycay this weekend we discussed our adventures. I thought I would try and list all the places we have been in the last 5 years.

Whistler
Seattle
Victoria
Miami
Ft. Lauderdale
Galveston
Orlando
California
Oregon

(Those above are the more local...below the more exotic)

Hawaii x3
Grand Caymans
Jamaica
Costa Rica
Panama
Peru
Colombia
Chile
Ecuador
Guatemala
Mexico
Honduras
Nassau

In the next 5 years we would like to add
Some Europe
Some Canadian destinations (perhaps the maritime provinces)
Maybe a little more Hawaii or California because come on who doesn't lve those places

When we got engaged my girlfriends were mad because they thought I should travel before I got married. I told them I wanted to travel with my best friend and that is something we have done quite a bit of since we got married.

So many adventures with my absolute favorite person.
Can't wait to look back and see what we did after our 10 year anniversary.

Brent's Parenting Observations

'Sheena, good job at teaching Audrey were her bellybutton is.'
(Brent smiles)
'Ya, it's pretty cute'- I said back
'Yup, now when she pulls her dress up over her head at church and sticks her finger in her bellybutton everyone will know who taught her that'-Brent said
'Shoot, never thought about that.'

Lets just say that we are working at 'were are your toes?' now but she doesn't think it's nearly as much fun as showing us her bellybutton!

When that day at church comes, I will take full responsibility. That one is all me. You know there is a little girl in every church that does it...well at Living Waters in Langley. It's going to be our daughter... I can feel it.

How the heck does Audrey do it? She doesn't get sick for 14 months and her first cold she conquers it in a couple days. Meanwhile I am left a mushy little mess. I'm feeling quite a bit better but nothing like my immune system champion of a daughter. Even when she was sick she did great, big smiles, lots of energy, didn't damage her firecracker personality just added slime. The joys of slime ha ha.

Now lets discuss blueberries.
This kid, this kid, this kid.
She can eat blueberries like no ones buisness
I have never been able to give her enough blueberries for her to stop eating
She is a PIT when it comes to blueberries
There has got to be a limit, I have not found it
Maybe I will try to when she is no longer wearing diapers ;)

Did I mention grandma has her this weekend...
Did I mention how many blueberries she has ate
Did I giggle when thinking of grandma changing a blueberry diaper...
Maybe a little.

So excited to get away for the weekend with the hubs
Eating out
Swimming
Long walks
Good reading
Snuggles
Sleeping in
Everything that makes for a good weekend getaway

61 days, when we get back we will be in the 50's part of the countdown. Getting close.
Getting ripe, feeling ready!
I have enough baby cloths for the first 12 months
I have the babies room all decorated
I have the babes room all organized
I am ready!
(All I need is a stinkin name for our kiddo!)

62

Thank you Audrey for
13 hour sleeps at night
two 2 hour naps
being content playing in your rocking chair with your bear
Audrey is way better at being sick then me

How do moms do 'sick' when they have two kids?
Luckily I almost never get sick
Being sick with two under two seems freaky (yes, freaky is the best word)

This afternoon
tea on the couch
reading in the rocking chair
snotty nosed kisses from Audrey
maybe a special treat to say thank you for being a nice girl when you are sick

Hopefully I can kick this cold before friday since Brent and I are having our last BABY FREE weekend before BABY NUMBER TWO! But hey, nothing like being pampered by you husband.

ta-ta for now(ahhhh-choooo, scouse me)

63

Audrey turned 14 months
To celebrate she got her first cold.
To help her celebrate I also got a cold.
I guess it's pretty impressive that she has never been sick.
Go Audrey!
For now though i'm on booger control

Brent picked up chinese and groceries and we all went to bed early.
If only a 14 month old could blow her nose...
Lets just say poor Audrey, poor mommy, and yuck!

64

So Brent comes home tonight.
Today I looked around and realized I let the house go.
This morning was filled with
Dishes, laundry, sweeping floors, washing floors, scrubbing the bathroom, dusting, and lots of organizing.
Brent loves a clean house.
I love a clean house.
When i'm pregnant I make having a clean house a priority only because I know it makes my hubby happy.
This weekend there was no cleaning, it didn't bother me one bit. What a refreshing break to just relax with my girl and take a break from my wifely duties.

7.5 hours till the husband is home. I'm taking my chicklet and getting out of here so that when the husband walks through the door the house will be all clean just for him. A lived in house that was cleaned hours early never looks quite as good as a freshly cleaned house. With a one year old keeping things in its place is just not realistic. Perhaps when he comes home he'll even think it looked this good all weekend...cause you know i'm super woman.

65

One last night as a single parent. So excited for hubby to come home, not so excited to share the same bed again. I have very much enjoyed sprawling out and taking up all the room. When you are pregnant there is nothing quite like having a huge bed to yourself in my opinion.

Today was filled with
waterparks
grandmas pool
walks with prada
and an early bedtime :)

65 days until d-day.
65 sounds way less then 66 so that is exciting!

Brent and I really need to start thinking about baby names...man this child could be nameless. It stresses Brent out so much just bringing it up. What a silly man. I always tell him that if it's so stressful I can just name the child for the both of us ;) what a sassy little wife I am.

65 days until I can...
sleep comfortably
stop barfing
strop taking medication
get skinny again

hold my precious little baby
get to know this little wonder
meet this baby that I have anticipated
start adjusting to what life with 2 under 2 willl be like :) (grin)

nighty night, i'm off to enjoy my last night hogging the whole bed

66-days

Brent gone for a whole weekend fishing
My first time being a single parent for a whole weekend
Should make for an interesting weekend
Throw in a birthday party, a stagette and a teething daughter and it should be eventful.

Part of me feels so ready for this baby but part of me so nervous.
I'm excited because this baby is something we both wanted and planned for
I'm nervous about Audrey being gentle and feeling left out. I feel like these next 66 days are my last 66 days to spoil my sweetheart because soon i'll have two sweethearts. Last night I took Audrey on a mommy&daughter date. I gave her a special treat (pop, she hyperventilates when she sees pop because she loves it so much. She has only had it maybe 4 times, promise.) and extra night time cuddles.

I'm loving cherishing each day with my darling daughter
I'm loving looking forward to being a mom of two
Still nervous
about birth
about balancing a newborn and a one years old.

Starting the countdown-67

67 days until my due date
I have not been very committed to blogging this pregnancy. Something about being pregnant, barfing, chasing a one year old and still trying to maintain normal life doesn't leave a lot of time for extra. I feel like I could be faithful for at least two months.

I am going to try to write something small about Audrey&New babe everyday even if it's just a sentence.

As Brent and I lay in bed tonight relaxing he turned to me and told me a memory he thought of (pre audrey)

We were on a cruise and visiting Honduras. We spent the day scootering around beach to beach touring the island of Roatan. We weren't sure what our lives would look like. We were anticipating parenthood. We spent lots of the time talking about what we thought it would be like. We made lots of jokes because I was 20 weeks pregnant and even in my bikini didn't look pregnant. That day on the beach is a fond memory. We were so ready to be parents but had no idea what it would really look like. Today Audrey is 14 months she is beautiful, spunky and full of life. She makes us laugh every day. Today she told me 'night night' and pressed my eyes closed haha. She cracks me up.

The next topic that came up before bed happened a little like this.
Sheena-'...Brent'
Brent-'yah..'
Sheena' i'm kinda freaked out'
Brent- 'about having two kids or birth?'
(he knows me so well that he can narrow it down that quickly)
Sheena -'birth....I did 9lbs 10oz and it was good but they say this one is going to be bigger. I'm just a little nervous. Seems like a couple pounds is a big percentage increase.'
Brent -'ya i'd be nervous to'
Sheena-'yup..67 days'
