its a must i think to have a pump, i have one from shoppers drug mart, it is electric but you can do manual as well i do manual its faster lol but having one is great for going out you can bottle feed instead of whipping it out in public or at night so brent can give you a sleep when babys hungry, you dont have to spend an arm and a leg i think mine was 50 or so
I have a medela http://www.medelabreastfeedingus.com/
I love it-it's definitely something that shouldn't be cheap...Quality and price with this item count!
You can buy one second hand for half the price from the kids swap in Cloverdale -- fyi: all parts that are more personal can be fully sanitized and so it's not a "weird" item to use second hand. I have lent my medela out to friends without a thought.
It's nice to have some breast milk stored up in the freezer for those times that baby is with daddy and can't wait for the real bobby to get home.
Also, it helps if they can do boob and bottle - i did soothers from the first hour and bottles once they were about a month old so I could have the versatility of not whipping out the boob in public (like church!).
Once upon a time I fell in love with this tall dark and handsome guy who also happened to be my highschool sweetheart. It went a little like thiis..
Brent and Sheena sitting in a tree K-I-S-S-I-N-G, first came love, then came marriage...then came Sheena pushing a baby carriage...then 16 months later a double carriage. This blog will be about the things that I love; motherhood, marriage, fitness, health, fashion and much more.
wait until after you have the baby. maybe you won't ever need a breast pump.
